What is the National Solar Schools Program (NSSP)?


The National Solar Schools Program replaced the Green Vouchers Program from July the 1st 2008. There is up to $50,000 in non-competitive funding available to EVERY primary and secondary school in Australia (government and non-government).

What types of items are eligible for funding under this program?


A 2kW Solar Panels Power System plus any combination of solar hot waters, rainwater tanks, shade awnings, lighting upgrades, shade awnings and sails, extended solar power systems and selected other energy efficiency measures.

How is the grant paid?


The Department of Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts (DEWHA) will pay your school directly prior to the commencement of any works. No need for funding drives! DEWHA have a established a free, on-line and straightforward (it actually is!) process for initial registration, claim submission and final funding agreement.
